Tento dokument specifikuje dvě metody (vysokoteplotní spalování a spalování ve vysokotlaké nádobě) pro stanovení chloru v tuhých minerálních palivech. Vztahuje se na tuhá minerální paliva.

Chlor v absorpčním roztoku může být stanoven pomocí různých zakončení, jako je coulometrická nebo potenciometrická titrace, spektrofotometrie nebo iontová chromatografie.

Metoda je použitelná pro stanovení obsahu chloru vyššího než 0,005 % hmotnostní frakce
