Tato norma specifikuje metodu stanovení chronické toxicity pro Ceriodaphnia dubia (Cladocera, Crustacea), založenou na inhibici reprodukce po (71) dnech.
Tato metoda je použitelná pro:
- a) chemické látky, které jsou rozpustné nebo které mohou být udržovány ve stabilních suspenzích nebo disperzích za podmínek zkoušky;
- b) průmyslové nebo městské odpadní vody, po dekantaci, filtraci nebo odstředění, pokud je to vhodné;
- c) sladké vody (povrchové a podzemní vody);
- d) vodné výluhy.
Tato norma není použitelná pro zkoušení vzorků vody z estuárií nebo z mořského prostředí
