Norma obsahuje ISO 4541:1978. Stanoví chemikálie, přístroje a postup zkoušky Corrodkote, kterou se zjišťuje kvalita kovových a obdobných povlaků. Metoda se používá zejména pro zkoušení součástí s elektrolyticky vyloučenými povlaky měď - nikl - chrom nebo nikl - chrom. Podstata zkoušky: Na zkušební vzorky se nanese pasta obsahující korozně agresivní soli a po zaschnutí pasty se vzorky s povlakem po stanovenou dobu vystaví zkušebnímu prostředí s vysokou relativní vlhkostí. ČSN ISO 4541 (03 8142) byla vydána v únoru 1994. Nahradila ČSN 03 8142 z 11.10.1979
