Norma obsahuje ISO 6230:1989. Tato mezinárodní norma určuje metody používané pro stanovení granulometrického složení sítovým rozborem přírodních nebo upravených (jako jsou pelety, slínky a jiné aglomerované rudy) manganových rud. Podstata metody: Vzorek manganové rudy je podroben sítování za účelem stanovení granulometrického složení podstatné části zrn. Granulometrické složení je vyjádřeno v procentech hmoty, prošlé nebo zadržené na vybraných sítech. Postup při provádění normalizované zkoušky je podrobně popsán. ČSN ISO 6230 (44 1575) byla vydána v lednu 1994. Nahradila ČSN 44 1837 z 11.9.1980 v celém rozsahu
