Uvedená část normy specifikuje rychlejší semi-mikrometodu s blokovou mineralizací pro rutinní stanovení obsahu dusíku v plnotučném a odtučněném tekutém mléce.

Postup spočívá v mineralizaci zkušebního dílu směsí koncentrované kyseliny sírové, peroxidu vodíku, síranu draselného a katalyzátoru v aparatuře pro blokovou mineralizaci. Pomocí hydroxidu sodného se z mineralizátu uvolní amoniak, který se titruje kyselinou chlorovodíkovou a obsah dusíku se stanoví výpočtem z uvolněného množství amoniaku.
