Tato metoda je založena na amplifikaci delta prvků, které jsou přítomny v genomu kvasinek. Dva primery se použijí pro PCR reakci, které jsou modifikací dle Ness a kolektiv. U probiotických kmenů S. cerevisiae se produkují různé vzorce, pokud se oddělují na agarózových gelech elektroforézou. Vzorce se vizualizují pod UV světlem po elektroforéze a obarvení agarózového gelu ethidium bromidem
