Tato technická specifikace určuje metodu stanovení polycyklických uhlovodíků a reziduí pesticidů v pitné a podzemní vodě v hmotnostních koncentracích vyšších než 0,005 _g/l a v povrchové a odpadní vodě v hmotnostních koncentracích vyšších než 0,01 _g/l (pro každou jednotlivou sloučeninu) metodou plynové chromatografie s hmotnostně spektrometrickou detekcí (GC-MS). Tato metoda se může používat také pro jiné nepolární látky, než jsou polycyklické aromatické uhlovodíky (PAH) a rezidua pesticidů. Použitelnost této metody pro tyto látky je však nutné ověřit. Tato technická specifikace může být používána pro vzorky obsahující až 150 mg/l nerozpuštěných látek
