IEC 60034-2-3:2024 specifies test methods and an interpolation procedure for determining losses and efficiencies of converter-fed motors. The motor is then part of a variable frequency power drive system (PDS) as defined in IEC 61800-9-2. This document also specifies procedures to determine motor losses at any load point (torque, speed) within the constant flux range (constant torque range, base speed range), the field weakening range and the overload range based on determination of losses at seven standardized load points. This procedure is applicable to any variable speed AC motor (induction and synchronous) rated according to IEC 60034-1 for operation on a variable frequency and variable voltage power supply. This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition of IEC 60034-2-3 published in 2020. This edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition: - Harmonization of requirements and procedures with IEC 60034-2-1. - Extension of the interpolation procedure to the field weakening range. Le moteur est alors considere comme faisant partie integrante dun systeme dentrainement electrique de puissance (PDS) a frequence variable, comme cela est defini dans lIEC 61800-9-2. Le present document specifie egalement des procedures de determination des pertes du moteur en tout point de charge (couple, vitesse) dans la plage de flux constants (plage de couples constants, plage de vitesses de base), la plage daffaiblissement du champ et la plage de surcharge a partir de la determination des pertes au niveau de sept points de charge normalises. Cette procedure sapplique a tout moteur a courant alternatif a vitesse variable (a induction et synchrone) assigne selon lIEC 60034-1 pour un fonctionnement a frequence variable et alimente en tension variable. Cette deuxieme edition annule et remplace la premiere edition de lIEC 60034-2-3 parue en 2020. Cette edition inclut les modifications techniques majeures suivantes par rapport a ledition precedente: - Harmonisation des exigences et procedures avec lIEC 60034-2-1; - Extension de la procedure dinterpolation a la plage daffaiblissement du champ.
