IEC 61169-18:2011 is a sectional specification and provides information and rules for preparation of detail specification of SSMA series RF connectors together with the pro-forma blank detail specification. It also prescribes mating face dimensions for grade 1 high performance connectors, dimensional detail of grade 0 standard test connectors, gauging information and tests selected from IEC 61169-1 applicable to all detail specifications relating to SSMA series RF connectors. SSMA series connectors with characteristic impedance 50 ohm are used for millimeter wave applications, connecting with RF cables or micro strips. The operating frequency limit is up to 35 GHz. The coupling thread is 10-36 UNS thread. It indicates recommended performance characteristics to be considered when writing a detail specification and it covers test schedules and inspection requirements for assessment levels M and H. It cancels and replaces IEC/PAS 61169-18, published in 2009, of which it constitutes a minor revision. The only change between the PAS and this standard is the removal of inch dimensions for each of the figures. La CEI 61169-18:2011 est une specification intermediaire et fournit des informations et des regles en vue de letablissement de la specification particuliere des connecteurs RF serie SSMA, ainsi que la specification particuliere cadre pro-forma. Elle prescrit egalement les dimensions des faces daccouplement pour des connecteurs de classe 1 haute performance, les details dimensionnels des connecteurs dessai normalises de classe 0, les informations concernant les calibres, et les essais choisis dans la CEI 61169-1 applicables a toutes les specifications particulieres ayant trait aux connecteurs RF serie SSMA. Les connecteurs serie SSMA dimpedance caracteristique 50 ohm sont utilises pour des applications a ondes millimetriques, et sont prevus pour etre connectes avec des cables RF ou des microrubans. La limite de frequence de fonctionnement est inferieure ou egale a 35 GHz. Le filetage de couplage est le filet UNS 10-36. La presente specification indique les caracteristiques de performance recommandees a prendre en compte pour la redaction dune specification particuliere et elle couvre les programmes dessais et les exigences de controle pour les niveaux dassurance qualite M et H. Elle annule et remplace la CEI/PAS 61169-18, publiee en 2009, dont elle constitue une revision mineure. Le seul changement entre le PAS et la presente norme est la suppression des dimensions en inch pour chacune des figures.
