Diese Norm legt anwendungsneutrale Kommunikationskabelanlagen für Wohnungen fest. Eine Wohnung kann ein oder mehrere Gebäude umfassen oder kann in einem Gebäude mit mehreren Wohnungen liegen. Sie behandelt Verkabelungen mit symmetrischen Kupferkabeln, Lichtwellenleiterverkabelungen und koaxiale Verkabelungen. Diese Norm legt anwendungsneutrale Kommunikationskabelanlagen für zwei Arten von Netzanwendungen fest: - Informations- und Kommunikationstechnik (IuK); - Rundfunk- und Kommunikationstechnik (RuK). Diese Norm legt entweder direkt oder mittels Verweisung auf EN 50173-1 Folgendes fest: - Struktur und Mindestkonfiguration für anwendungsneutrale Kommunikationskabelanlagen in Wohnungen; - Schnittstellen am informationstechnischen Anschluss (TA) und am Rundfunkanschluss (RA); - Anforderungen an das Leistungsvermögen von Verkabelungs- und Übertragungsstrecken; - Anforderungen an und Optionen für Ausführungen; - Anforderungen an das Leistungsvermögen von Verkabelungskomponenten; - Konformitätsanforderungen und Verifizierungsverfahren. In dieser Norm wurden Anforderungen berücksichtigt, die in den in EN 50173-1 aufgeführten Anwendungsnormen festgelegt werden.
