Der Begriff "Magnetische Werkstoffe" bezeichnet Substanzen, deren Anwendung das Vorhandensein ferromagnetischer oder ferrimagnetischer Eigenschaften erfordert. In diesem Dokument erfolgt die Einteilung der magnetischen Werkstoffe nach zwei Hauptproduktgruppen, deren Vorhandensein allgemein anerkannt ist: - weichmagnetische Werkstoffe (Koerzitivfeldstärke =1 000 A/m); - hartmagnetische Werkstoffe (Koerzitivfeldstärke >1 000 A/m).
