Dieser Teil von IEC 60966 ist eine Bauartspezifikation für halbstarre Kabelkonfektionen, die aus dämpfungsarmen, halbstarren Koaxialkabeln Typ 50-12 mit-Dielektrikum und Steckverbindern, wie z. B. Typ 7-16 (IEC 61169-4), Typ 4.1-9.5 (IEC 61169-11), Typ N (IEC 61169-16), Typ S7-16 (IEC 61169-53) oder Typ 4.3-10 (IEC 61169-54) zusammengesetzt sind. Diese Bauartspezifikation ist anwendbar für Kabelkonfektionen (Rangierkabel) für mobile Kommunikation und insbesondere solche, die zwischen Haupteinspeisung und Antennen oder zwischen Haupteinspeisung und Betriebsmittelsystemen oder zwischen abgesetzten Funkköpfen (en: remote radio heads) eingesetzt werden. Die Betriebsfrequenz beträgt höchstens 6 000 MHz.
