Diese ÖNORM gilt für Heizöfen für flüssige Brennstoffe mit einem oder mehreren Verdampfungsbrennern mit oder ohne Ölbehälter und Schornsteinanschluss, die zur Beheizung eines einzelnen Raumes im häuslichen Bereich verwendet werden und entweder einen Förderdruckbegrenzer oder einen Verbrennungsluftbegrenzer und eine Nennwärmeleistung von nicht mehr als 15 kW haben. Diese ÖNORM gilt auch für Ölheizöfen, die mit einem ventilatorunterstützten Brenner ausgerüstet sind. Diese ÖNORM enthält die europäische Änderung A1:2007 mit der die gesamte Norm überarbeitet wurde.
