Diese Europäische Norm gilt für Kaltband in Rollen in Walzbreiten < 600 mm und daraus durch Ablängen erzeugte Stäbe in Dicken bis 10 mm aus weichen, unlegierten und legierten Stählen nach Tabelle 1. Die Erzeugnisse sind für das Kaltumformen sowie für eine Oberflächenbehandlung geeignet, nicht aber für das Abschreckhärten und Vergüten. Diese Europäische Norm gilt nicht für kaltgewalzte Flacherzeugnisse, für die eigene Normen bestehen, z. B. für folgende Erzeugnisse: - kaltgewalztes nichtkornorientiertes Elektroblech und -band im schlussgeglühten Zustand (EN 10106); - kornorientiertes Elektroblech und -band im schlussgeglühten Zustand (EN 10107); - kaltgewalztes Elektroblech und -band aus unlegierten und legierten Stählen im nicht schlussgeglühten Zustand (EN 10341); - Kaltband aus Stahl für eine Wärmebehandlung (EN 10132-1 bis EN 10132-4); - kaltgewalzte Flacherzeugnisse aus Stahl mit hoher Streckgrenze zum Kaltumformen (EN 10268); - kaltgewalzte Flacherzeugnisse aus weichen Stählen zum Kaltumformen (EN 10130); - kaltgewalztes Feinstblech in Rollen zur Herstellung von Weißblech oder von elektrolytisch spezial verchromtem Stahl (EN 10205); - kaltgewalzte Flacherzeugnisse aus weichen Stählen zum Emaillieren (EN 10209).
