Diese Norm gilt für Kaltband in Rollen und für Kaltband in Stäben in Dicken bis zu 10 mm und in Breiten kleiner 600 mm aus unlegierten und legierten Stählen, im wesentlichen denen aus EN 10132, EN 10139, EN 10268 und EN 10338, mit Ausnahme der nichtrostenden und hitzebeständigen Stähle sowie der nachfolgend genannten Erzeugnisse. Die Anwendung dieser Norm auf Erzeugnisse mit anderen Nennmaßen muss besonders vereinbart werden. Diese Norm gilt nicht für kaltgewalzte Flacherzeugnisse, für die eigene Normen bestehen, insbesondere für folgende Erzeugnisse: kaltgewalztes nichtkornorientiertes Elektroblech und band (EN 10106); kornorientiertes Elektroblech und band (EN 10107); kaltgewalztes Elektroblech und band aus unlegierten und legierten Stählen im nicht schlussgeglühten Zustand (EN 10341); kaltgewalzte Flacherzeugnisse ohne Überzug und mit elektrolytischem Zink- oder Zink-Nickel-Überzug aus weichen Stählen sowie aus Stählen mit höherer Streckgrenze zum Kaltumformen (EN 10131); kaltgewalztes Feinstblech (EN 10205).
