Diese Europäische Norm enthält die Anforderungen an Flacherzeugnisse aus warmgewalzten schweißbaren legierten Qualitäts- und Edelstählen mit hoher Streckgrenze, die für die Kaltumformung bestimmt sind. EN 10149-1 enthält die allgemeinen Lieferbedingungen. EN 10149-2 enthält die Lieferbedingungen für thermomechanisch gewalzte Stähle der Sorten nach Tabelle 1 (chemische Zusammensetzung) sowie nach Tabelle 2 (mechanische Eigenschaften). EN 10149-3 enthält die Lieferbedingungen für normalgeglühte oder normalisierend gewalzte Stähle der Sorten nach Tabelle 1 (chemische Zusammensetzung) sowie nach Tabelle 2 (mechanische Eigenschaften). Diese Europäische Norm gilt nicht für Erzeugnisse aus Stählen für Druckbehälter, ferner nicht für Erzeugnisse, für die andere Europäische Normen bestehen oder Europäische Normen in Vorbereitung sind, z. B.: - warmgewalzte Erzeugnisse aus Baustählen (siehe EN 10025-1 bis EN 10025-6); - warmgeformte Hohlprofile für den Stahlbau aus unlegierten Baustählen und aus Feinkornbaustählen (siehe EN 10210-1).
