Diese Europäische Norm legt in Ergänzung zur EN 10149-1 Anforderungen für Flacherzeugnisse aus warmgewalzten, schweißbaren Stählen mit hoher Streckgrenze, die für die Kaltumformung fest. Die Stahlsorten werden mit den Anforderungen nach Tabelle 1 (chemische Zusammensetzung) sowie nach Tabelle 2 (mechanische Eigenschaften) im thermomechanisch gewalzten Zustand nach 7.2 geliefert. Die Stähle nach dieser Europäischen Norm werden für warmgewalzte Flacherzeugnisse verwendet, und zwar in Nenndicken - von 1,5 mm bis 20 mm für Stähle mit Mindestwerten der Streckgrenze im Bereich von 315 MPa bis 460 MPa; - von 1,5 mm bis 16 mm für Stähle mit Mindestwerten der Streckgrenze im Bereich von 500 MPa bis 700 MPa und - von 2 mm bis 10 mm für Stahle mit Mindestwerten der Streckgrenze im Bereich von 900 MPa bis 960 MPa.
