Diese Europäische Norm legt die Ermittlung der Ganzkörper- und der Hand-Arm-Schwingungen an dem oder den Plätzen der Bedienperson während der Prüfung beweglicher Maschinen fest. Der Zweck dieser Europäischen Norm besteht darin, technische Normungsgremien, die für bestimmte Maschinenarten zuständig sind, bei der Erstellung von Schwingungsmessnormen zu unterstützen, um sicherzustellen, dass diese Normen - in ihrem Aufbau untereinander weitestgehend übereinstimmen, indem jede Messnorm dieselbe Grundstruktur aufweist, - in voller Übereinstimmung mit den Grundnormen zur Schwingungsmessung sind etc.. Diese ÖNORM enthält die Europäische Änderung A1:2008-04, mit der die Einleitung, die Abschnitte 2, 7.1, 7.3, 7.5, 7.6, Anhang A, Bild B.1 und Anhang ZA korrigiert wurden.
