Diese Europäische Norm gilt für Kalander der Papierherstellung und -ausrüstung und ist gemeinsam mit EN 1034-1:2000+A1:2010 anzuwenden. Sie behandelt alle in Abschnitt 4 aufgeführten signifikanten Gefährdungen. Zugehörige Sicherheitsanforderungen und/oder -maßnahmen werden in Abschnitt 5 beschrieben. Nicht behandelt werden die Gefährdungen der Hebeeinrichtungen, die zum Wechseln der Walzen, Einlegen der Rollen in die Abrollung und Entnehmen der Rollen aus der Aufrollung bestimmt sind, sowie Heizsysteme zum Erwärmen von Kalanderwalzen. Diese Europäische Norm gilt nicht für Kalander, die hergestellt wurden, bevor CEN die Norm veröffentlichte.
