Diese Europäische Norm legt austenitischen Manganstahlguss für Verschleißbeanspruchung fest. Die in dieser Europäischen Norm enthaltenen Sorten weisen die höchste Betriebsdauer bei Anwendung auf, in denen die Gussstückoberfläche schlagartiger Beanspruchung ausgesetzt ist. Diese Europäische Norm behält für die Abschnitte den gleichen Aufbau bei wie EN 1559-1 und EN 1559-2. Sie muss in Verbindung mit diesen Normen benutzt werden. Wenn unter einer Abschnittsüberschrift kein Text steht, gilt der entsprechende Abschnitt von EN 1559-1 oder EN 1559-2.
