Dieser Europäische Norm-Entwurf für eine einzelne Flanschreihe legt Anforderungen für runde Stahlflansche mit den PN-Bezeichnungen PN 2,5 bis PN 400 und den Nennweiten DN 10 bis DN 4000 fest. Dieser Europäische Norm-Entwurf legt die Flanschtypen und ihre Dichtflächen, Maße, Toleranzen, Gewinde, Schraubengrößen, Oberflächenbeschaffenheit der Dichtflächen der Flanschverbindung, Kennzeichnung, Werkstoffe, Druck/Temperatur-Zuordnungen und ungefähre Flanschgewichte fest. Für die Anwendung dieser Europäischen Norm umfassen "Flansche" auch Bördel und Bunde. Dieser Europäische Norm-Entwurf gilt für Flansche, die nach den in Tabelle 1 beschriebenen Verfahren hergestellt werden. Rohrverbindungen ohne Dichtungen fallen nicht in den Anwendungsbereich dieses Europäischen Norm-Entwurfs.
