Diese Norm legt das Prüfverfahren zur Messung der Schubkraft fest, die von motorangetriebenen Abschlüssen und Markisen (Tastschalterbedienung, halbautomatisch oder automatisch) unter genau vorgeschriebenen Nutzungsbedingungen entwickelt wird. Diese sind in prEN 13120:1998, prEN 13561:1999 und prEN 13659:1999 festgelegt. Sie gilt für folgende motorangetriebene Produkte: Innere Abschlüsse mit Führung: Innenjalousie, Rollo, Vertikalstore und Faltjalousie. Äußere Markisen: Gelenkarmmarkise, Scherenarmmarkise, Senkrechtmarkise mit Führung, Faltarmmarkise, Markisolette, Fassadenmarkise, Dachflächenfenstermarkise oder Wintergartenmarkise, Korbmarkise, Insektenschutzgitter. Abschlüsse: Außenjalousie, Rolladen, Drehladen, Faltladen, Schiebeladen. Abschlüsse mit motorangetriebenem Aussteller werden ebenfalls behandelt. Motorangetriebene Abschlüsse mit Tastschalterbedienung, bei denen während des Bedienvorganges Sichtkontakt zum sich bewegenden Panzer bzw. Behang besteht, sind nicht Gegenstand dieser Norm.
