Diese Europäische Norm legt Anforderungen und Prüfverfahren zur Festigkeit und Dichtheit von runden Luftleitungen fest, die in Anlagen zur Lüftung und Klimatisierung von Gebäuden verwendet werden. Der Zweck dieser Norm ist die Festlegung der mechanischen Festigkeit und Dichtheit, die zur Gebrauchstauglichkeit des eingebauten Luftleitungssystems im Hinblick auf seine beabsichtigte Nutzung erforderlich sind. Es ist beabsichtigt, mit Hilfe dieser Norm bestimmte Installationen sowie Produktreihen im Allgemeinen vor Ort oder unter Laborbedingungen zu prüfen. Die Anforderungen und Prüfverfahren gelten hinsichtlich der Dichtheit auch für Luftleitungen mit Rechteckquerschnitt. Der informative Anhang A enthält eine empfohlene Vorgehensweise, wenn die zulässige Luftleckrate bei der Prüfung einer bestimmten Installation überschritten wird.
