Dieses Dokument legt Prüfverfahren für die Sicherheit, Festigkeit und Dauerhaltbarkeit von Etagenbetten und Hochbetten für die Nutzung im Wohn- und Nicht-Wohnbereich fest. Die Prüfungen sind anwendbar für Betten mit einer inneren Länge von mehr als 1 400 mm und einer Höchstbreite des Bettbodens von 1 200 mm, bei denen sich die Oberseite eines Bettbodens 600 mm oder mehr über der Stellfläche befindet. Die Prüfungen sind für die Anwendung bei einem vollständig zusammengebauten und gebrauchsfertigen Bett ausgelegt. Die zutreffenden sicherheitstechnischen Anforderungen sind in EN 747-1:2024 angegeben.
