Diese Internationale Norm behandelt fest eingebaute Flüssiggas-LPG-Anlagen und flüssiggasbetriebene Geräte auf kleinen Wasserfahrzeugen bis 24 m Rumpflänge. Sie gilt nicht für Bauteile, die von flüssiggasbetriebenen Antriebsmaschinen oder von flüssiggasbetriebenen Generatoren genutzt werden. Diese Internationale Norm gilt für Kochgeräte mit integrierten Flüssiggasflaschen, mit einem Fassungsvermögen von 225 g oder weniger. Sie gilt für die Lagerung aller Flüssiggasflaschen, sie ist jedoch nicht vorgesehen für die Festlegung technischer Anforderungen an solche Flaschen, die nationalen Vorschriften unterliegen. Sie enthält kein Verfahren zur Inbetriebnahme der Flüssiggas-Installation.
