Dieser Teil der Norm beschreibt ein Prüfverfahren zur Bestimmung der Widerstandsfähigkeit der Farbe von Textilien jeder Art und in allen Verarbeitungszuständen gegen die Einwirkung von verdünnten und heißen Mineralsäuren, wie sie unter milder Walkbeanspruchung in der Hut- und Filzherstellung angewendet werden. Folgendes Prinzip wird dabei angewendet: Eine Probe des Textilmaterials wird zusammen mit Begleitgeweben in saurer Lösung gewalkt, gespült und getrocknet. Die Änderung der Farbe der Probe und das Anbluten der Begleitgewebe werden durch Vergleich mit den entsprechenden Graußmaßstäben bewertet.
