Dieser Teil von ISO 11111 ist gemeinsam mit ISO 11111-1, ISO 11111-2, ISO 11111-6 und ISO 11111-7 anzuwenden. Er benennt signifikante Gefährdungen durch Vliesstoffmaschinen und legt die entsprechenden Sicherheitsanforderungen und/oder Maßnahmen fest. Dieser Teil von ISO 11111 gilt für alle Maschinen, Anlagen und zugehörige Einrichtungen, die für das Öffnen, Reinigen, Mischen, Kurdieren und Krempeln, Vernadeln, Zylindertrocknen und Wickeln vorgesehen und in Abschnitt 5 spezifiziert sind, wobei der Anwendungsbereich von ISO 11111-1 soweit zutreffend zu berücksichtigen ist. Dieser Teil von ISO 11111 wird ergänzt durch die Typ-C-Normen der Reihe ISO 9902 in Bezug auf Geräuschmessverfahren und ISO 23771 in Bezug auf Maßnahmen zur Reduzierung der Geräuschemissionen.
