In dieser Internationalen Norm umfasst der Begriff "Metall" metallische Werkstoffe mit oder ohne Korrosionsschutz. Die beschleunigte Korrosionsprüfung im Freien gilt für: - organische Beschichtungen auf Metallen; - metallische Beschichtungen (anodische und kathodische Beschichtungen); - chemische Konversionsschichten; - Metalle und deren Legierungen. Das Verfahren ist besonders geeignet für Vergleichsprüfungen zur Optimierung von Systemen zur Oberflächenbehandlung.
