Dieses Dokument gilt nicht für - aufblasbare Wasserfahrzeuge nach ISO 6185-4, - Wasserfahrzeuge, die ausschließlich für Wettkampfzwecke konstruiert und gebaut wurden (Rennfahrzeuge), - Wasserfahrzeuge, die hauptsächlich für den nicht motorgetriebenen Betrieb gebaut wurden. Dieses Dokument legt keine Anforderungen an die Festigkeit des Wasserfahrzeugs bezüglich der maximalen Vortriebsnennleistung fest und stellt nicht die Stabilität unter Seebedingungen, Wind, Kielwasser und Wellen sicher.
