Festgelegt ist ein Kodierungssystem zur Einteilung und Bestimmung massiver und flußmittelgefüllter Lotdrähte sowie die Eignungsanforderungen, die von flußmittelgefülltem Lotdraht und seinen Bestandteilen erfüllt werden müssen. Anforderungen an die Probenahme, Beschriftung und Verpackung werden ebenso festgelegt. Im Anhang A wird ein Verfahren für die Lösemittelextraktion von Flußmittel in flußmittelgefülltem Lotdraht beschrieben. Die daraus gewonnene Lösung kann für Prüfzwecke verwendet werden. Im Anhang B wird ein Verfahren zur Messung des mittleren Durchmessers von flußmittelgefülltem Lotdraht festgelegt. Anhang C enthält eine Übersicht über Prüfverfahren für Flußmitteltypen, die in flußmittelgefüllten Lotdrähten enthalten sind.
