Vzorek se spaluje pri teplote 1 350 |stupnu| C v proudu vzduchu v pritomnosti medi jako spalovaci prisady. Tim se sira obsazena ve strusce prevadi na oxid siricity, ktery se absorbuje ve vode a prubezne titruje odmernym roztokem jodu na skrob jako indikator.
