Tato norma urcuje spektrofotometrickou metodou pro stanoveni oxidu manganateho. Z alikvotniho podilu zasobniho roztoku po oddeleni kyseliny kremicite a chromu se vytesni kyselina chlorovodikova odparenim s kyselinou dusicnou a sirovou. Pak se oxiduji manganate soli jodistanem draselnym na manganistan a intenzita zbarveni roztoku se meri spektrofotometricky pri vlnove delce 525 nm. Vliv pritomnosti zelezitych soli se odstrani stisnenim kyselinou orthofosforecnou.
