Táto norma stanovuje požiadavky na výrobky na upevnenie káblov a vodičov, ďalej len "káblov" na roz-vod elektrickej energie, riadenie a komunikáciu používané v stavbách, na ktoré sa vzťahujú predpisy protipožiarnej bezpečnosti stavieb ) z hľadiska trvalej dodávky elektrickej energie pri požiari. Stanovuje požiadavky na výrobu, požiarnu charakteristiku, systém preukazovania zhody, metódy kontroly zhody, označovanie, identifikáciu, pokyny na použitie výrobkov pri zabudovaní do stavby. Norma sa nevzťahuje na tie výrobky na upevnenie káblov, ktoré sa nepoužívajú na trvalú dodávku elek-trickej energie pri požiari.
