Táto európska norma stanovuje postup pri vykonávaní hydrostatickej tlakovej skúšky týkajúcej sa súčastí namáhaných tlakom pri všetkých typoch čerpadiel na kvapaliny vrátane akéhokoľvek pomocného zariadenia a príslušenstva tvoriaceho čerpací agregát v súlade s ustanoveniami EN 809:1998, s výnimkou:čerpadiel na vodu na použitie v domácnosti podľa EN 60335-2-41:1996 alebo EN 60335-2-51:1997; obehových čerpadiel na použitie v domácnosti podľa EN 1151:1999;požiarnych odstredivých čerpadiel s vývevou podľa EN 1028-1:2002+A1:2008 a EN 1028-2:2002+A1:2008;súčastí čerpadiel s maximálnym dovoleným prevádzkovým tlakom nižším ako 0,1 bar.
