Obsahuje směrnice ke stanovení štítkové hodnoty L pro subjekt stanovující štítkovou hodnotou a popisuje jednoduchou metodu ověření emise hluku sérií strojů nebo zařízení se uřetelem ke čtítkové hodnotě L. Tento postup může být užit tehdy, jastiže dosud neexistují stanovené postupy určování štítkové hodnoty hluku, které stanovují referenční směrodatnou odchylku, rozsah výběru a výběrový postup pro druh strojů.
