Táto medzinárodná norma sa zaoberá bezpečnosťou komerčných elektrických fritéz vrátane tlakových prevedení, ktoré nie sú určené na použitie v domácnostiach, a ktorých menovité napätie nie je vyššie ako 250 V pri jednofázových spotrebičoch, ktoré sú zapojené medzi jednou fázou a nulovým vodičom a pri ostatných spotrebičoch nie je vyššie ako 480 V.
