Táto medzinárodná norma sa zaoberá bezpečnosťou elektrických umývacích strojov na umývanie tanierov, misiek, skleného riadu, príborov a podobných predmetov s použitím alebo bez použitia zariadenia na ohrev vody alebo na sušenie, ktoré nie sú určené na použitie v domácnosti a ich menovité napätie pri jednofázových spotrebičoch nie je vyššie ako 250 V a 480 V pri ostatných spotrebičoch.
