Norma platí pro chemický rozbor olovnato-zinkových rud a určuje stanovení kadmia metodou AAS. Při provádění rozboru musí být dodržena všechna ustanovení podle ČSN 44 1701. Podstata metody: Vzorek se rozloží kyselinami, po odstranění oxidu křemičitého a dotavení nerozpustného zbytku se kadmium stanoví metodou AAS v plameni vzduch - acetylen při vlnové délce 228,8 nm. Postup při provádění normalizované zkoušky je podrobně popsán. ČSN 44 1626 byla schválena 18.5.1989 a nabyla účinnosti od 1.6.1990. Nahradila část 7 ČSN 44 1654 z 29.11.1973 a spolu s ČSN 44 1701, ČSN 44 1621 až ČSN 44 1625, ČSN 44 1627 až ČSN 44 1632 ji nahradila v celém rozsahu
