Tato norma je překladem ST SEV 6154-88. Určuje stanovení chemicky vázané vody metodou vážkovou. Při provádění rozboru musí být dodržena všechna ustanovení podle ČSN 44 1801. Podstata metody: Metoda je založena na zahřívání vzorku v proudu suchého vzduchu, pohlcení vody chloristanem hoiřečnatým a stanovení zvýšení hmotnosti absorbentů. Postup při provádění normalizované zkoušky je podrobně popsán. ČSN 44 1854 byla schválena 18.5.1989 a nabyla účinnosti od 1.7.1990. Nahradila ČSN 44 1575 část 3 z 20.9.1972
