Tato část normy platí spolu s ČSN 70 0600 pro stanovení oxidu hlinitého fotometrickou metodou s chromazurolem S v těch typech skel, u nichž je její použití předepsáno pro rozbor příslušného typu skla. Princip metody a postup při provádění normalizované zkoušky je podrobně popsán.
