Tato norma je českou verzí evropské normy EN 12249:1999. Evropská norma EN 12249:1999 má status české technické normy. Tato norma stanoví dvě třídy dovolených úchylky (na základě rozdílů mezi pořezem a opracováním) u očekávaných tlouštěk, šířek a délek řeziva na palety při určité referenční vlhkosti.
