Tato norma specifikuje metodu pro stanovení fumonisinu B1 (FB1) a fumonisinu B2 (FB2) v potravinách na bázi kukuřice. Fumonisiny jsou extrahovány ze vzorku směsí vody, methanolu a acetonitrilu. Zfiltrovaný extrakt je přečištěn na imunoafinitní kolonce a fumonisiny jsou eluovány methanolem. Extrakt je odpařen, zbytek po odpaření je rozpuštěn ve směsi acetonitrilu a vody. Poté je přidán o-phthaldialdehyd/2-merkaptoethanol (OPA/MCE) pro vytvoření fluoreskujících derivátů fumonisinu, které jsou analyzovány vysokoúčinnou kapalinovou chromatografií na reverzní fázi (RP-HPLC) s fluorescenční detekcí
