Tato norma předepisuje technické požadavky na neplněné epoxidové pryskyřičné směsi v nevytvrzeném i vytvrzeném stavu. Mezi základní charakteristiky nevytvrzených směsí řadí hustotu, viskozitu, obsah epoxidových skupin a parametry vztahující se k síťování. Ve vytvrzeném stavu specifikuje pro jednotlivé typy pryskyřičných směsí hodnoty základních mechanických a elektrických vlastností, hořlavosti, tepelné roztažnosti, teploty skelného přechodu, tepelné odolnosti, hustoty a nasákavosti vodou.
