Tato norma specifikuje metodu stanovení nejméně 16 vybraných PAH v pitné a podzemní vodě v hmotnostních koncentracích vyšších než 0,005 _g/l a v povrchové vodě v hmotnostních koncentracích vyšších než 0,01 _g/l (pro každou jednotlivou sloučeninu). Tato norma může být používána pro vzorky obsahující až 150 mg/l nerozpuštěných látek. Tato metoda je s určitou modifikací vhodná také pro analýzu odpadních vod. Je možné, že tato metoda je použitelná pro další PAH, pokud je v každém případě validována
