Norma obsahuje ISO 7875:1984. ISO 7875 se člení na dvě části: Část 1: Spektrofotometrické stanovení aniontových PAL s methylenovou modří. Část 2: Stanovení neiontových PAL Dragendorffovým činidlem. Normalizována je podstata zkoušky, která stanoví: "Povrchově aktivní látky se vytěsní vzduchem ze vzorku a jímají v octanu ethylnatém. Po odstranění octanu ethylnatého se neiontové PAL vysrážejí Dragendorffovým činidlem (KBiI4 + BaCl2 + kyselina octová). Sraženina se oddělí a rozpustí. Bismut se stanoví potenciometricky. Jeho koncentrace je ekvivalentní koncentraci neiontových PAL při titraci roztokem pyrrolidin-1-yl dithiokarboxylanu sodného. Alternativními metodami stanovení iontů bismutu jsou, mimo jiné, atomová absorpce a spektrofotometrie v ultrafialové oblasti spektra. Postup normalizované zkoušky je podrobně popsán. ČSN ISO 7875-2 (75 7535) byla vydána v únoru 1996. Nahradila oddíl B části 34 ČSN 83 0530 z 13.4.1979 a část 29 ČSN 83 0540 z 16.3.1987
