Touto normou se zavádí ST SEV 3594-88 překladem jako ČSN, jíž se pro potřeby tehdejší ČSSR (ČSFR), resp. ČR překlad normy RVHP nedoplňoval. Norma RVHP platí pro železné a manganové rudy, koncentráty, aglomeráty a pelety a určuje metody na stanovení hustoty, objemové a sypné hmotnosti. Podstata metod a postup normalizovaných zkoušek je podrobně popsán. Pro potřeby analýzy z hlediska hygieny práce má tato metoda velmi malý význam; tento parametr není třeba z hygienického hlediska zjišťovat. ČSN 44 1822 byla schválena 18.5.1989 a nabyla účinnosti od 1.1.1991. Nahradila ČSN 44 1822 z 16.1.1984
