Norma je identická s EN 27627-2:1993. Stanoví metody na stanovení vápníku, draslíku, hořčíku a sodíku při obsazích od 0,001% do 0,02% (m/m) metodou plamenové atomové absorbční spektrometrie. Normalizována je podstata zkoušky a její postup. Z hygienického hlediska je pozoruhodné ustanovení čl.4.5, kde se uvádí: "Nastavení AAS. Bezpečnostní opatření. Je nutno dodržovat předpisy výrobce pro zapalování a zhášení plamene." ČSN EN 27627-2 (42 0877) byla vydána v září 1995
