Tato mezinárodní norma specifikuje metodu pro enzymatické stanovení obsahu celkového škrobu v krmivech a surovinách pro výrobu krmiv. Metoda je také použitelná pro stanovení čistoty škrobu. Je důležité, aby v matrici vzorku nebyly přítomny žádné složky, které přispívají k celkovému snížení naměřených hodnot při 340 nm. Analytické rozpětí metody je 40 g/kg až 1 000 g/kg škrobu. Standardní postup je použitelný pro rozpětí 200 g/kg až 1 000 g/kg. U nižšího rozpětí, 40 g/kg až 200 g/kg, může být použit jiný postup ředění standardního roztoku glukózy a vzorků
